Google has partnered with Samsung to bring Google Photos features to smart TVs next year. This marks the first time a full Google Photos experience will appear on television screens.
Samsung TVs will lead the rollout. The integration starts in early 2026, with more capabilities added later in the year. Other TV platforms should follow after the initial period.
Users sign in with their Google account. Backed-up photos and videos then become available on the big screen.

Main Features Coming to Samsung TVs
Samsung outlined three key parts of the Google Photos experience.
- Memories: Curated collections appear based on people, places, and key moments. This starts in March 2026. It stays exclusive to Samsung TVs for six months.
- Create with AI: Tools use Google’s Nano Banana model for themed edits. Options include style changes with Remix or turning photos into short videos. This arrives in the second half of 2026. Some templates remain Samsung-only.
- Personalized Results: Slideshows form around topics like trips or activities. Users see related images grouped together. This also comes in the second half of 2026.
The features tie into Samsung’s Vision AI system. Photos can show up on daily boards or during normal use.

New 2026 Samsung TV models get the features from launch. Select older models receive them through software updates.
Right now, no full Google Photos option exists on any TV platform, including Google TV itself. Current setups rely on casting or basic screensavers.
More news on other brands should come during CES 2026 or soon after. The Samsung start gives a clear path for wider TV support.
This move lets people view phone-captured moments in a larger format. Families can share stories together in the living room.
