Lenovo unveiled a concept gaming laptop at CES 2026 that features a flexible OLED display capable of extending horizontally.
The Legion Pro Rollable starts with a standard 16-inch screen in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Users can trigger expansion using a keyboard shortcut—holding the Fn key and pressing the left or right arrow keys.
Display Expansion Modes
The screen rolls out from both sides with dual motors, offering two wider options:
- A 21.5-inch view at 21:9 aspect ratio
- A full extension to about 23.8 inches at 24:9 aspect ratio
This setup allows the laptop to shift from a compact form to a wider field of view suitable for immersive games like racing titles or open-world adventures.
The mechanism keeps the panel flat and minimizes noise. Windows adjusts to the new resolution without interruption.
Technical Details
Resolutions include:
- Around 2986 x 1280 for 21:9
- 3413 x 1280 for 24:9
The concept builds on the Legion Pro 7i chassis and could support high-end parts like Intel Core Ultra processors and Nvidia RTX 50-series graphics.
Lenovo positions the standard size as a focused mode and the wider ones for broader visibility, such as keeping maps or chats visible during play.
Recognition and Status
The design earned recognition as the best gaming product in CES awards from several outlets.
It remains a prototype with no confirmed release date or price.
