Loewe Vega TVs Cost More Than Some OLEDs

Loewe recently unveiled its Vega TV lineup. This series focuses on smaller screens with high-end specs. The models come in 32-inch and 43-inch sizes. They use VA LCD panels with Direct LED backlighting.

These TVs aim at buyers who want quality in compact forms. Prices reflect a premium position in the market. The 32-inch version sells for £1,650, while the 43-inch goes for £1,900.

Key Features of the Vega Series

The Vega TVs pack several advanced elements. Their screens offer 4K UHD resolution. Local dimming zones number 260 on the smaller model and 390 on the larger one. This setup helps with contrast and color accuracy.

Brightness levels stand out too. The 32-inch reaches 550 nits, and the 43-inch hits 880 nits. They support HDR formats like Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, and HLG.

Sound comes from a built-in bar. It delivers 60 watts with Class D amps. Dolby Atmos adds to the audio experience.

The os9 system runs the smart side. It’s based on VIDAA tech. Users get access to streaming services. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports. The 43-inch handles 120Hz refresh rates, VRR, and ALLM for games. The 32-inch tops at 60Hz.

Other links cover Apple AirPlay, Miracast, and Bluetooth. Gaming options include Blacknut and Boosteroid services.

Design uses a brushed aluminum frame. A rotatable stand comes standard. Magnetic covers hide cables at the back.

Pricing in Context

These prices put Vega above some OLED options. For example, LG’s 48-inch B5 OLED retails at £599. That’s less than the Vega 43-inch.

Vega succeeds the We.SEE LCD line. Those started at £900 for 32-inch and £1,200 for 43-inch. The new series brings 4K to the 32-inch size.

OLED TVs often start at 42 inches. Few exist in 32-inch. This makes Vega a choice for smaller rooms needing LED tech.

In euros, the 32-inch costs €1,500 and the 43-inch €1,700.

How Vega Stacks Up Against OLED

Direct LED offers bright pictures in lit rooms. OLED provides perfect blacks and wide angles. But small OLEDs carry higher costs from other brands too.

Loewe’s own Stellar OLED 42-inch starts at £3,299. That’s more than Vega.

Budget OLEDs like the LG B5 show entry points below Vega prices. Buyers weigh size, tech, and brand.

Availability and Who It’s For

Sales begin in March. Select retailers carry them.

This series suits those with upscale homes. It fits kitchens or bedrooms well. The focus stays on build quality and ease of use.

If you seek value in small TVs, check other LED models. For premium feel, Vega stands out.
