Manhattan TV, a British company known for Freeview and Freesat devices, has released details on its latest product: the Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely. This compact box connects to any television and delivers the Freely streaming service over a broadband connection.

What Is Freely?

Freely is a free streaming platform run by Everyone TV, the organization behind Freeview and Freesat. It is backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. The service provides more than 60 live TV channels and over 75,000 hours of on-demand content through apps like BBC iPlayer and ITVX. It works via Wi-Fi, so no aerial or satellite dish is needed.

Key Details on the Aero 4K TV Streamer

The device plugs into a TV’s HDMI port and requires a Wi-Fi connection. It runs on the TiVo operating system, which supports voice search through TiVo Voice and offers a unified search for both live and on-demand material.

Beyond Freely, users get access to major apps including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and YouTube. The box also includes TiVo+, which adds around 400 free live channels plus a collection of on-demand movies and shows. It outputs in 4K for compatible content.

Manhattan positions the Aero as an easy upgrade for older TVs or sets in rooms without aerial access but with good Wi-Fi. It avoids the need to buy a new television to get Freely.

Pricing and Availability

The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely costs £69.99. It goes on sale in February 2026 at retailers such as Currys, John Lewis, and Amazon.

Growing Interest in Freely

Everyone TV reports strong demand for the platform. A YouGov survey found that more than 70% of Samsung and LG TV owners want Freely access on their sets. Some forecasts suggest Freely could grow to become one of the UK’s main TV platforms in the coming years.

Jonathan Thompson, CEO of Everyone TV, noted the timing aligns with a packed schedule of viewing, including events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He said the device helps bring the same Freely experience already on certain TVs to a wider audience.

Alex Arbab-Zadeh, COO at Manhattan, described the Aero as a straightforward fix for TVs without built-in Freely support. Connect to Wi-Fi, and it provides live channels, catch-up viewing, and popular apps at a low cost.
