OnePlus has started pushing a new software update to the OnePlus 13 flagship. The release brings practical tools for battery management and photo work, along with the latest security fixes.
The update carries version OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 (firmware CPH2649_16.0.3.501(EX01)). It first appeared in India, reaching a limited group of users. A wider release should follow in the coming days.
Key Features in the Update
- Bypass Charging Support Users can now connect the charger during high-load tasks like gaming, live streaming, video watching, or navigation. Power goes straight to the phone instead of cycling through the battery. This setup cuts down on heat buildup and helps protect long-term battery health. (Previously, similar support reached the OnePlus 15 in late 2025.)
- Improved Photo Editing The Photos app handles editing for images up to 50 million pixels. Changes apply without reducing the original quality, so details stay sharp even after crops or adjustments.
- Security Update The package includes the January 2026 Android security patch to strengthen system protection.
Other Changes
The update also refines daily use in smaller ways:
- Drawer mode gains “Office” and “Finance” categories for better app sorting.
- Private Safe adds easier file browsing via side slider, folder search, and direct sharing.
- A new toggle hides the “Reply with SMS” option on incoming call screens (found in Contacts settings under Answer/End calls).

How to Check for the Update
Head to Settings > Software update on your OnePlus 13. The rollout starts small, so patience may be needed if it has not arrived yet.
This release focuses on useful refinements rather than major overhauls. It keeps the device current while addressing common requests around charging habits and high-resolution editing.
