Samsung has begun pushing a new software update to the Galaxy Z TriFold, its first tri-fold smartphone. The device, which launched in limited markets like South Korea and the UAE, now receives regular support to keep it secure and stable.
Update Details
The firmware version is F968NKSS2AZA1. This update measures just over 540MB (around 541MB in some reports). It delivers the January 2026 security patch and includes 55 improvements for better performance and security.
Owners can check for it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The rollout supports seamless updates on this premium model.
Context for the Device
The Galaxy Z TriFold shipped with One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. Major feature updates, such as One UI 8.5, will come later — possibly after the Galaxy S26 series launches in the coming months. Samsung is already testing One UI 8.5 internally for the TriFold.
This first patch shows Samsung’s commitment to long-term support for the device, even with its limited availability and high demand. Batches sell out in minutes in available regions.

This update brings early reassurance to owners that Samsung plans to maintain the phone with consistent patches moving forward. Stay tuned for more on future rollouts.
