The iQOO Z11 Turbo is set to launch in China on January 15, 2026. Ahead of the release, the company has shared details about its networking features, with a focus on better performance during online gaming.
Thunder Z1 Chip Targets Wi-Fi Stability
iQOO introduced the Thunder Z1 as a dedicated gaming signal enhancement chip. This component forms part of the Global Esports Network System 2.0. The system aims to keep connections steady in demanding gaming scenarios.
Official teasers state that the Thunder Z1 reduces game stutter by 76.47% compared to the previous model. This claim comes from tests using 5GHz Wi-Fi signals passing through four walls. The figure highlights improved handling of signal interference in real-world conditions.
The setup also includes AI-based network selection. It picks the strongest option in real time. An AI model predicts and adjusts for potential signal disruptions.
For cellular coverage, the phone uses a 24-antenna design. This supports consistent 5G reception regardless of grip position. Dual-frequency GPS adds to location accuracy.
