Galaxy S25 Gets One UI 8.5 Beta 5: What’s New?

Samsung has started rolling out One UI 8.5 Beta 5 to the Galaxy S25 series. This update reaches devices in regions like South Korea, Germany, the UK, and India right now, with the US expected to follow shortly.

The build ends in ZZAN and comes in at about 553 MB. It includes the February 5, 2026 security patch. The main change listed in the changelog focuses on an updated version of Bixby. This aims to improve how the voice assistant works for users.

No new features or major fixes appear in the official notes beyond the Bixby update and security improvements. Earlier betas in the series added items like partial screen recording options and fixes for call routing over Bluetooth. This smaller patch suggests Samsung is nearing the end of testing.

Beta participants on the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra should check for the update through the Samsung Members app or system settings. Enrollment in the beta program is required to receive it.

The timing lines up with Samsung’s plans. The company has teased that the stable One UI 8.5 version will arrive with the Galaxy S26 series launch later in February 2026. This beta phase helps refine the software before wider release.
