iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Foldable: Key Specs from Latest Leaks

Apple’s 2026 iPhone lineup is shaping up to include major changes, with reports pointing to the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the company’s first foldable model launching together. Analyst Jeff Pu shared details in a recent investor note, outlining hardware for these premium devices.

Launch Plans

The high-end models — iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the foldable iPhone (often called iPhone Fold) — are expected in September 2026. Standard iPhone 18 models may arrive later, in spring 2027.

All three will run on the A20 Pro chip (built on a 2nm process), come with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM, and feature Apple’s in-house C2 modem.

These models keep familiar screen sizes:

  • iPhone 18 Pro: 6.3-inch display
  • iPhone 18 Pro Max: 6.9-inch display

They stick with Face ID, but the Dynamic Island could appear smaller thanks to some under-display components.

Rear cameras include a triple 48MP setup with a main sensor, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto lens. Front camera is an 18MP unit with a 6P lens.

The frames use aluminum for both models.

iPhone Fold (Foldable Model) Highlights

This book-style foldable brings the biggest design shift. It features:

  • 7.8-inch inner flexible display
  • 5.3-inch outer cover screen

No Dynamic Island appears here, and Face ID is replaced with Touch ID (likely in the power button) for a cleaner look and better immersion on the larger screen.

The body combines titanium and aluminum. Rear cameras are a dual 48MP setup (main and ultra-wide), with no periscope telephoto due to space limits. It includes two 18MP front cameras — one on the cover screen and one on the inner display (reusing the iPhone 17 sensor).

These choices address challenges in foldable design, like fitting components into a folding form.

These details come from industry reports and analyst notes, including Jeff Pu’s investor update (covered by sources like Gizmochina, 9to5Mac, and others in mid-January 2026). Apple has not confirmed any of this, so treat it as early rumor information. The focus remains on practical upgrades, especially for the foldable’s biometrics and display approach. Stay tuned for more as the year progresses.
