LG has released a software update that brings Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to certain 2025 OLED TV models. This addition supports wireless connections to compatible speakers for improved surround sound.
LG Brings Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to 2025 OLED TVs via Update
February 5, 2026 — LG is delivering Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to owners of select 2025 OLED TVs through a free software update. The feature, first shown with new 2026 models and audio products at CES 2026, now extends backward to make older sets work with LG’s Sound Suite system.
Dolby Atmos FlexConnect lets speakers connect directly and wirelessly to the TV. It adjusts sound based on room layout and speaker positions for better immersion in Dolby Atmos content. Users can set up systems without strict placement rules, and expand over time by adding more speakers.
The update targets the 2025 OLED G5, C5, and CS5 series. These models can now link to LG Sound Suite components like the M5 and M7 wireless speakers, plus the W7 subwoofer. Support covers up to four speakers and one subwoofer in various setups, with or without a soundbar.
This move follows LG’s launch of the H7 soundbar — noted as the first with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect — along with the M5, M7 speakers, and W7 subwoofer. The technology competes with similar wireless audio options from other brands.
The software (versions 33.30.92 or 33.30.80) is rolling out now. Owners should check the TV’s update menu. If needed, they can download it from LG’s support site and install via USB.
Key models receiving the update:
- OLED G5 series
- OLED C5 series (including CS5 variants)
The feature requires both the TV and speakers to support FlexConnect for full wireless integration and room-adaptive audio.
