Oppo has begun distributing the stable version of ColorOS 16, built on Android 16, to the Oppo Pad 2. This marks a significant upgrade for the tablet, originally launched with Android 13 and ColorOS 13.
The rollout kicked off in Indonesia as part of a phased approach. Users there can access it now, with other regions expected to follow shortly. This update represents the second major OS upgrade for the device.
Eligibility and Installation
Only the Oppo Pad 2 qualifies for this release. Devices need to run the specific build OPD2202_16.0.2.400(EX01) beforehand.
Owners have two ways to get the update:
- Wait for the automatic over-the-air notification.
- Apply manually through a release candidate channel in settings.
To apply manually, go to Settings > System & update > Software update. Tap the top of the screen, then the gear icon in the top right. Select Beta program > Release candidate > Apply Now. The system will check for and download the package.
Always back up important data before installing any major update.
